Open play is a time when parents and their littles can come play, socialize, and learn in our space without the time constraints or commitment of our usual playgroups! Families can come and go as they please during open play, staying for as long or as little as they’d like! There is no need for pre-registration or pre-paying, you simply show up on one of our open play days, and pay at the door!
Open play runs every friday and saturday from 9-11am, and is $15 for a single pass, and $5 for each additional sibling. Infants in carriers are free! Cash and card are both accepted.
Should I do anything before coming to open play?
It’s always a good idea to check our instagram or facebook before heading to open play. That is where any last-minute or emergency cancellations would be announced. If we reach capacity during open play, it will also be announced via our socials.
Can I buy an open play pass in advance?
At this time we are only able to allow the purchase of open play passes in-person on the day you wish to play.
What should I bring to open play?
We are a shoe-free facility, so adults should have socks. We have water tables and messy play, so it may also be a good idea to bring a change of clothes for your child if you plan on going anywhere afterwards! Snacks and water are welcome, but we ask that they are kept to the front room of our facility and that you wash your hands before returning to play.
Can I bring an older sibling to open play? (5+)
Our facility is specifically designed for children ages 0-4y, meaning our activities, equipment, and overall environment are tailored to that age group. This means, unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate older children safely and effectively. Our goal with Small Talk is to carve out a space specifically for an age group that is largely overlooked in our area.
Can I drop my child off and pick them up later?
We are not a drop off service, so all children are required to be accompanied by an adult (18+) at all times in our facility.
When I stopped by the door was locked, does that mean you aren’t open?
Due to building policy, the exterior door must remain locked at all times, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t open! To get into our facility please either ring our doorbell, or text/call the number posted on the door. Someone will be out to let you in!
