An educational playgroup at Small Talk combines the best elements of a grown-up-and-me class and a traditional playgroup. The class features a blend of structured ‘teacher-student’ interactions and child-led activities. This approach introduces children to new material in a formal setting while allowing them to explore their own interests, make new friends, and simply enjoy being kids. It’s also a wonderful opportunity for parents to connect and socialize, fostering a sense of community that goes beyond the typical class structure.

Everyone should wear what makes them feel most comfortable. However, please consider that some activities might get messy or involve a lot of physical movement. Opt for comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting a bit dirty.

Absolutely! You have a couple of options: You can either purchase a drop-in class for a one-time visit or, if there are at least two weeks remaining in the session, you can join the playgroup at a prorated rate for the remainder of the session.

Small Talk is located at 96 Harlow Street in Bangor. Please note, due to new rules set forth by building management, the exterior doors are locked 24/7. To ensure smooth entry for our playgroups, kindly arrive no more than 5 minutes before the start of class, as you will need to be let into the building. Small Talk is just a short two minute walk from Abbott Square Parking Lot across from the Bangor Public Library. Additionally, there are multiple parking spots along Harlow street.
